When Daddy came to see me this morning, Marianne was getting me out of my crib and had came up with a new hairstyle for me - kind of the Pebbles Flintstone look! My parents thought it was awfully cute so they had to take some pictures of course!
I had a 12:45 appointment with my GI doctor, Dr Davies. Mommy and Lucille were very anxious to see how I was doing on my weight since it had been several weeks since I was weighed and Mommy had bumped me up to 27 calories from 24 calories several weeks ago. I got down to nothing (not even a diaper) and I came in at....... 14 lbs. 9 ozs.!!! In about a month's time I put on 2 lbs and grew an inch and a half. Both the dietician and Dr Davies were a little concerned - that I was gaining too much weight!!!! Music to my Mommy's ears - after months of trying to put some weight on me - now it's the opposite problem. Although I am still not on the charts with my weight compared to other babies my age when my weight is compared to my height I am now in the 65% percentile and gaining! Dr Davies would like to make sure I have a little extra on me in prep for surgery but she is worried if I stay on this track I run the risk of getting too big. So the compromise is to have me on 27 calories for my night feeds and 24 calories for my day feeds. This might help, too, with my spitting up issues. Dr Davies wants to see me again in a month to check on my weight - but if Mommy sees me packing on the pounds before then, she has Dr Davies blessing to move me to 24 calories for all of my feedings.
When we got home, Aunt Jan and Uncle Steve came by a for a visit on their way back to the Northwest. It's been about five months since the last time they saw me - I was just a little girl back then. I had just woken up from a nap and was pretty happy for a little while. Mommy caught them up to date on my evaluations since they hadn't been on to my blog in a few days. Mommy can't wait until I can go see them at their home in Vancouver and visit my Great Grandma Joyce and Great Grandpa Larry, too. Hope to see you all soon!

  1. SO happy that Steve and Jan got a chance to see you yesterday!

I LOVE the new hairdo, and I don't remember seeing you in that dress before, it's a cute one! Maybe one of the new ones your mom bought this weekend?

Sounds like you're getting bigger each day, you're doing AMAZING!

    Love you!

  2. I agree, your Pepples look is adorable.

I was so sorry to have missed seeing you in person for the first time when you took your first big trip to Salt Lake. I was feeling poorly and didn't make it into work that day. Also, I certainly didn't want to give you a cold but as it turns out I heard your mommy was sick then too - bummer for both of us but glad you didn't get it.

Good luck with your upcoming surgery and I know you are already a very brave little girl.
