Yes that is quite the shiner on my head! This is what comes from a girl who never learned to crawl - I have not developed good upper arm strength so when I fall forward - I generally don't stop myself with my hands. Thus the shiner. Just about the time one starts to fade away it seems like I fall again (or several times in the same spot) and the process starts all over again. Mommy is guessing that every school picture until I graduate I will have a bruise in the same spot!Peyton Nicole Smith

ReplyDeleteJackson has also been taking a few tumbles, and tends to try to pull up on things that can't support his weight. The toys either land on top of him, or he falls down, and he bruised up his chin pretty well last night.
Here's to patience for mommy and me over the next several years of injuries and falls!!!
She will eventually learn to use her hands when she falls. I guess it takes a few dozen cracks to the noggin before the figure it out. Aishling started using her hands to catch herself just recently. I noticed a few weeks ago that she didn't have that many bruises. Then I saw her put her hands out when she fell. She still falls, crashes, bangs etc but has learned to not leave as many marks. Aishling is also a climber. Climbs and jumps.
