Because Mommy had to work for several hours today, the trip to Costco we were going to go on with Uncle Jeff had to be cancelled - it was getting too late and they were going to close. Instead, Daddy and Mommy took me to Toys R Us where they got my birthday gift. There was a small slide set up at the store that I got to try out and was very sad to have to leave. My parents were buying me a bigger slide and yes - they let me open it early. I am not one for opening presents and when it comes to my actual birthday there will be other things to open. Since it is in the 100+ temps right now in Elk Grove it is too hot to go to the park so having a slide I can play on at home in the air conditioning is a good way to keep me entertained. My parents also got some foam mats to help soften my landing. My brothers got to try it out as well when Daddy sent each one of them down the slide. (I don' think they like it nearly as much as I do!) It's a lot of work to climb up the ladder so I usually climb up on my own a few times and then my parents lift me up to the top several times to give me a breather. Good thing the slide is durable - it's going to get a lot of use!

  1. LOVE your slide video! No suprise that you mastered the steps and the slide in such a short time. Jackson will probably need you to show him the ropes so he can go down the slide, I've never let him go on his own yet!

Poor dogs! I am sure this is just the beginning of the torture they will receive with your new toy!
