Mommy was all worried about what the time change might do to my pretty regular eating and sleeping schedule but there was no reason for it. I took advantage of the extra hour just like my parents did - I slept! In fact, instead of getting up betwee 5:30 and 6:00 I slept until 6:30 (so really I slept until 7:30). My feeding had ended several hours earlier so my Mommy gave me my reflux meds on an empty stomach. Within minutes I threw it all back up so Mommy was a little concerned that I might be getting a stomach bug. Despite that, she decided to go ahead and try to reduce my hour bolus feedings to 40 minute bolus feedings today. It was no problem at all, once again Mommy worried for nothing. Because I was doing so well and not hooked up to a feeding all day, my parents took me to the grocery store for the very first time. I was very happy to sit in the cart and watch everyone go by. I saw several babies and signed "baby" to my parents. I was so good that my parents then walked over to Panda to get some take out. I recently learned the sign for "bear" so with all the panda bear pictures in the place I was showing Daddy my bear sign while we waited. After all the excitement, it should have been time for my nap. Instead of sleeping, though, I spent 90 minutes rolling around my crib and showing Mommy my new skill - getting from lying down to sitting up. Once I was sitting, I would then pull myself up to my knees and peek over the side of the crib to giggle at Mommy. In 90 minutes I did this about 30 times. Mommy wouldn't even turn to look at me after the first few times but she could hear me. She would call out, "Peyton it's sleepy time, you need to lay down." So I would bend over in half to lay my head down on the bed but would not lay down completely. After a few seconds would pass, I would pop back up and laugh at her again. Yes, this went on for 90 minutes! You would think I would be exhausted after all the moving around the crib but once I fell asleep it only lasted 30 minutes when usually I sleep for an hour. Needless to say, I was pretty grumpy when I woke up from my nap so Mommy will put my lovie on her shoulder so I can lay against it and carry me around until I am a little less sleepy.

  1. You're getting too smart for your own good! Pretty soon you are going to find a way to throw yourself over the side of the crib, or stand up and shout to mommy and daddy to turn the TV off when they're watching TV and you're supposed to be sleeping. Looks like you're having fun rolling around the crib though!!!

Glad that you were such a good girl at the grocery store, and that you even got to go out to eat! I knew you would be good, and your mom had nothing to worry about.

Tell mommy to send over some pics of her new hairdo.

    LOVE AND MISS YOU TONS!!!
