Last night as Sarah was showing up for her shift, I woke up crying. I was running a fever so my parents had just given me a dose of Tylenol but I was awake and ready to play. I was a little distracted running from one activity to another but after about an hour, Sarah got me down for the night. At 2 am when it was time for another dose of Tylenol Sarah checked my temperature and I was back to normal and stayed that way the rest of the night.
In the morning, my secretions from my trach started to go from a healthy white color to other shades which is a good sign of some sort of infection. With all the vaccinations I got it's hard to tell if I am having an immune response to the vaccines or if I am really coming down with something so Mommy cancelled my feeding therapy appointment to be safe.
I played fine all day but had a restless nap and in the afternoon when Lucille went home Mommy thought the house was awfully hot. She tried to get the AC to start up and went outside to check but it never kicked on. After consulting with Daddy over the phone she called the landlord and got him to authorize someone to come out and look at it. The earliest they can make it is tomorrow morning. Since it was 84 degrees in the house and climbing, Mommy had to come up with something to cool me off. Uncle Jeff was kind enough to offer the AC at his apartment, so Mommy packed me in the car and off we went. When Daddy got off of work he joined us at Jeff's and we ordered a pizza for dinner. It was supposed to be 45 minutes, but after an hour and a half with no pizza it was getting really late and I needed to get to bed so Jeff called to cancel the order. Shortly after, the driver called Jeff to say he was lost. He called back a few minutes later and this time Daddy picked up the phone. When he had found out Jeff had cancelled the order he was VERY angry because he thought he would have to pay for the pizza himself. He yelled at Daddy on the phone and threatened to come up to the apartment and "beat him up" to get the money out of him. (Thank goodness there is a security gate at the apartment!). Jeff called the driver back and explained to him that the issue about the order was between him and the pizza company and then called the pizza company to let them know he didn't appreciate the driver's phone calls and threats. Who knew ordering a pizza could be so exciting!
We didn't get back home until almost 9 pm and I was not ready to go to sleep. Luckily, Daddy had borrowed some fans from work and he put one on my crib to help keep it cool for me to sleep tonight. I still wasn't running a fever but there was a little blood in my trach when I would cough so my parents are still keeping a close eye on me to make sure whatever is going on doesn't turn into anything more serious.

  1. Seriously, that is ridiculous about the pizza! Hope the driver got in trouble for making threats, what a mess!

Praying that the air conditioning gets fixed right away and you are back to bearable temps. No wonder we were all melting at your house this weekend! Hope you're not getting sick sweet girl.

Is it fun having all your own toys back again? I think Jackson may need a stroller of his own again as a gift.Your kitchen set is so cool, even an adult would want one!
Take good care of yourself and have mommy send us more of your pictures.Your granpa and I especially liked the picture of you and Jackson running with your backs turned to the camera.Tell your mommy it looked like 'Little House on the Prairie' all over again!
