After little more than 24 hours establishing our habitat, we went back to PetSmart today with our sample of water to be tested. Unfortunately for Daddy, Wade was behind the counter again and he certainly remembered us. He said the water looked great but he still wouldn't recommend getting fish for a few more days - maybe Monday night. Daddy wouldn't take "no fish" for an answer and we got into the car and drove a few miles to get to a different pet store with fish tanks. The selection wasn't as good, but they didn't know us and were more than willing to provide fish for our new tank. We got four fish of the same type and then three of a different type since we were told they like to hang with their own kind. We also got one sucker fish to help clean the tank. It was exciting to get them home and into the tank - their new home was so much cooler then what they had been living in at the pet store. Daddy let me help feed them for the first time and we spent time watching them adjust to their new environment. Since we jumped the gun on getting fish we'll have to see how many are still swimming in the morning!

Thinking their must be a reason that Wade insisted the "habitat" had to be established before moving in guests???
ReplyDeleteI cleaned out Rudolph's tank yesterday and it was in desperate need! So far so good, he was still swimming this morning!!
