Okay so this is my first experience with my own blog! Don't know what I am doing but I will learn. I think this will be the best way to update all of our family and friends about what is going on in our lives here in Elk Grove. Can't wait until we have pictures to share of Peyton.

So my due date is 8/23. Unfortunately I don't think I will be having Peyton any time soon. I am now having weekly dr's visits and twice weekly stress tests. My next dr's appointment and stress test is on Thursday so I'll make sure to update you all after that.

The stress test on Monday Peyton was apparently not in the mood to cooperate. She didn't move during the entire 30 minutes they were monitoring me. Since my doc was out of town, the prenatal nurse sent me on to Methodist Hopsital to have additional monitoring done. After a shot of apple juice she perked right up and they went ahead and released me. (She loves apple juice just like her Aunt Kristin!)

Will post some pictures later of the curent baby bump - although it is less a bump and more a mountain at this point.

Travis and the boys are doing fine. Travis has some meetings on Thursday he would like to get out of so if I could just get P to go along with the plan and have her in the next day or two that would work best for him. Aunt Kristin said after the 24th would fit in best with her schedule. Grandma and Grandpa Smith are coming out after Labor Day so they are hoping she is born before then. As I keep telling everyone, Peyton is the one calling the shots at this point and I don't think she is taking requests.

Will keep everyone updated! Love, the Smith Family (Travis, Tracy, Henry, Chili & Peyton)

  1. Also can't wait to meet beautiful baby Peyton, and introduce her to the world of almond latte's and bottlecaps, two of my personal favorites. If she's born before fall sweeps, she'll be able to watch the new season of Grey's Anatomy with me, which she'll love, as I do!

I know that sis and Travis will be amazing parents, and I can't wait until they move back to Salt Lake so I can share in that experience!

  2. You're right Peyton is calling the shots. When you least expect it she will make her arrival. Your life will never be the same. It's such a wonderful experience. Soon you will know exactly what I am talking about.
    We wish you the best.
