It was a beautiful day today so while Daddy was testing the sprinklers (the lawn is starting to die it has been so warm) Mommy and I got to play outside a little in the water. I can't get too close because of my trach and my hearing aids but Mommy lets me stick my feet in the water and splash around in the puddles a little.

In the evening, Daddy went to a Kings game with "Uncle" Jeff so it was me and Mommy tonight. I was a very good girl for her though and went to bed without too much of a fight.

I am a Hokey Pokey fanatic! Mommy taught me this a few weeks ago and now I love to "turn myself around" whenever possible!

Sarah came today to play with me while Mommy and Daddy got some errands run and caught up on some sleep. She took me to the playground where I got on the swings and went down the slide - with her help of course!

It was one of those days! Whether it was me spilling juice and water all over the floor, standing up on the stool rather then sitting on it, hitting the doggies and Mommy or running away during music therapy - I had a mind of my own. I was in the mood to do all the things I know I am not supposed to do and my parents were counting down the minutes until they could put me to bed!

Daddy was feeling a lot better today so Mommy brought him to work this morning. I got to go with her in the afternoon to pick him up. He even helped get me ready for bed tonight and stayed up with me until the nurse arrived.

Mommy has started pulling out my 18 month clothes. Everything is too big - but the shirts fit a little better than the pants - those keep falling off. In order to keep my new jammie pants on me - Mommy had to roll it a few times. I loved the froggies though!

After the improvement of yesterday, Daddy was struggling with a headache again today so he decided to stay home. He got a lot of peace and quiet because today was my craniofacial appointment at UC Davis. Most bigger hospitals have a craniofacial team or panel that is a group of specialists who follow kids like me who have craniofacial anomolies or cleft lip and palates because it can impact lots of different things (hearing, eating, dentistry, etc). My last craniofacial panel at UC Davis was back in December of 2007. At the appointment they always take an updated photograph so you can see my "before" and "after" photos above. Pretty cool huh!

After 4 1/2 hours of seeing specialists Mommy, Lucille and I were sure glad to get out of there. Mommy had planned well - bringing the DVD player, toys and food to keep me entertained but it was a tiny room with a lot of people in it!

Yes, that's my Daddy and yes that is a smile on his face. He is not up to driving yet, but he felt stable enough to have Mommy bring him in to work today. As long as he didn't move he was able to keep from getting so dizzy that he got sick, although he was still pretty groggy from all the medications. Mommy and I went to pick him up after my therapy appointment and I got to check out Daddy's office for the first time. I am so glad he is starting to feel a little better.

Daddy is still not feeling well but at the doctor's appointment today, he didn't recommend really doing anything differently. He changed out a medication for the dizziness and told Daddy to come back towards the end of the week if there isn't any improvement.

Mommy and I are certainly getting a lot of quality alone time together with Daddy being sick. Daddy normally puts me to bed at night but that hasn't happened in almost a week. I like to test boundaries with Mommy so I have been doing a lot of crying when she puts me into the crib at night. When that doesn't get her attention I throw my lovie or doll out of the crib. Mommy doesn't get right up to put them back though, she lets me sweat it out a little while!
