I love to play in my brothers food and water bowls. Mommy decided I might stay out of them a little less if I let her help feed the boys. So in the morning now I hand feed them some of their kibble after we fill their food bowls. Henry is not a big fan of dry dog food and only eats when he gets really hungry - but because I feed him myself by hand he has been eating a lot more! After doing this a few times this is part of my morning routine now and I think my brothers like it as well.

Mommy is just a wee bit jealous. Lucille has begun taking me to the park most mornings. As she explained to Mommy this afternoon, she and I are officially regulars of the morning park crowd. It's a little "Mommy and Me" play group at the Machado Dairy Park - it's just my Mommy isn't a part of it - Lucille is! Once she got over her jealousy, Mommy was just very happy that Lucille and I get to do something fun during the day when Mommy and Daddy are busy working.

Happy Mother's Day Mommy! To help celebrate her special day, Daddy got up with me this morning and let her sleep in - she loved every extra second of sleep that she got! Then he made her breakfast and ordered her not to do any work today. She tried to take it easy, but still ended up doing a few things around the house.
The best part of the day, though, was when we all went to get my first official haircut! I think my parents were more nervous than I was. When we walked in there were three hairstylists and little ole me which meant I got lots of attention - just the way I like it! There were a few tears when I got strapped into the fire truck chair, so while Vicky cut my hair the two other stylists blew bubbles to keep me entertained. The even put on an Elmo video (without my hearing aids on they turned it up pretty loud). The best part was watching myself in the mirror though. My parents had Vicky take off a few inches and my hair got all curly after that. Vicky even put a pretty flower in my hair. I like my new "do" and my parents were very impressed with how good I was. After I was down for the night, Mommy ran to Marie Callendar's to get a slice of pie for her and Daddy - a great ending to a perfect day! Hope everyone else had a perfect Mother's Day too!

Because Sarah was going to come stay with me today, Daddy had bought some movie tickets for he and Mommy to see a "chick flick". Unfortunately, a few hours before she was going to arrive my parents got a call from the agency that Sarah was really sick and couldn't make it. My parents weren't too disappointed. After Mommy and I both had a good nap then we went shopping together. My parents even took me to the pet store so I could check out the fish and birdies. I loved the fish but I was a little hesitant to be that close to the birds - I wouldn't let go of Daddy's finger! Then we went to the shoe store to get Mommy and I some sandals. I liked the shoes I had on so I was not in the mood to have my shoes taken off to try on sandals. I threw a few small fits before my parents finally gave up. My parents had a trick up their sleeve, though. When we got to the park they told me I couldn't get on the swings until I put on my new sandals. So guess who I tried on her new sandals after all?

See the pretty flowers I got Mommy for Mother's Day! The card said, "There's never been a minute where I haven't been happy to have you as my Mommy." Okay, that's not completely honest. I am choosing to overlook the time Mommy let me fall off the changing table, the days when she turned the screws during my jaw distractions and giving me all those suppositories. Other than that I really am happy she is my Mommy ; )

Just to keep life interesting, in the midst of my first feeding of the day I threw up all over Mommy. She's starting to wonder if she would wait to get dressed mid-day so she doesn't have to keep changing clothes so many times. A few stinky diapers later, though, and all was good!

My last feeding therapy appointment did not go so well - probably due to my too small trach tube. But today I was back to normal - eating and drinking like a pro - as long as it was the few things I am willing to eat or drink - ice cream, crackers and juice. Still Mommy was just glad I wasn't gagging or throwing up!
In the afternoon Daddy was working late again so Mommy and I headed to the park. While I was hooked up to my feeding I ran around on the grass and had a great time. You can see in the photos above the fall last night has resulted in a pretty big bruise. As you can tell by my expressions - I am not all that concerned about it!
